Animal Week (May 20 - May 24)

 


This upcoming week, the class will have an animal themed week of learning. This theme will apply to many different subjects. Please see below for the different activities

  • Math: Count animal figures, sort them by size or color.

  • Science: Learn about different animals, their habitats, and characteristics.

  • Art: Create animal masks or finger puppets.

  • Language: Read animal-themed books.

  • Dramatic Play: Use finger puppets for a class puppet show.

Along with incorporating animals into the curriculum, each day will have a different theme for the students. Participation is not mandatory.

  • Monday: Wear crazy socks
  • Tuesday: Hat day
  • Wednesday: Crazy hair day
  • Thursday: Bring your favorite animal toy
  • Friday: Dress like your favorite animal
Below is a link to a YouTube video. It is a guess the animal game and also assist with learning numbers and counting. If you would like to work with your child, please feel free as I will be incorporating this video into one of my lesson plans.
